If you’re flying to the island from the UK there are plenty of charter flights available from London and the journey time is approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes.  Virgin has just started a twice-daily route from Gatwick Airport.

Transfer time from both airports (at Montego Bay and Kingston) is around one and a half hours. Don’t forget that transfers are also included in your holiday package.

The currency is the Barbados Dollar although American Dollars are also accepted.
Most restaurants and shops will also accept major credit cards and travellers cheques.
