Taxis are governed by JUTA, a Jamaican travel and tour service that provides various types of transportation all around Jamaica. JUTA taxi service is primarily used for travel to and from the airport and hotels as well as to popular tourist destinations.
The rates vary and many drivers will offer guided tours. Be sure, if you take up the offer, you agree a price before you set off.
Buses tend to be a little crowded to say the least. But it’s a cheap way to get around and it’s the best way to meet lots of local people. Just stand by the road and stick your hand out!

Blue Mountain Cycle Tours, Main Street, Ocho Rios 876-974-7075 or 974-7492. Don’t worry it’s all down hill. The day includes brunch, lunch, refreshments and all bike equipment. The tours cover 18 miles through the Blue Mountains and the tropical rain forest.
Queen McBeam, St. Mary, 876-975-5279 Ionie McBeam will take you where you want to go and tell you everything you need to know. Her trips include shopping tours and visits to Dunn’s River Falls or the Blue Mountains.

Tourwise on 104 Main Street (876-974-2344 or 974-2323) offers guided tours of the island’s most popular attractions included Dunn’s River Falls, Black River Safari, and the capital Kingston.
